Health Care and Equal Pay Stand of the Candidates October 7, 2008

A response to:

I’m voting for Obama. McCains views on health care, equal pay for women, energy policies and his lack of knowledge regarding the economy aren’t what I am looking for in a President.

All issues important to us are important to God because we are his children but the reality is that there are issues closer and dearer to God. I am a Green and Health Freak. I was working on a GREEN Environmental Committee for a major company and I sell Green Products but those are not High on His list like life and morals and the way we live for God.

Jesus is not about suppressing women. If anything, he elevated their status by recognizing them when no one did (Mary Magdalene was not stoned, woman at the well was spoken to despite her race and class) but so much more He emphasizes the value of life and how each one of us is fearfully and wonderfully made from the beginning to the end of the Bible – enough to die for us.

Like I have said, we need to look at candidates at what they do, how they vote and not what they say because they change their words to fit the circumstance.

Despite the words… actions and records point to this: CNS News has found that Obama pays 83 cents to a dollar for women for the same job as men and goes into the distortion of the numbers used by Obama..

CNS says their goal is to report unbiased and debunk. For those interested in learning what bias CNS News may have can start here: http://www.cnsnews.com/public/static.aspx?PageID=18

i will look more into its background too…..

Here is an article on Obama on Equal Pay and Health Care from CNN which leans Pro-Obama. They were more open to exposing thigs like this because then they were Pro-Hillary:

Obama cites Ledbetter to back his fight, not abortion

And here is one from Fox which is an accepted McCain network

One article from HotAir who hits both sides:

http://hotair.com/archives/2008/06/30/does-obama-pay-women-less-than-men/

According to articles… despite how he pays his women, he rallies around a particula case of a woman who got paid less than 3 other men for the same job to show his “stand” and have people think he is about equal pay.

just google “CNS equal pay obama” and see the plethora of what comes up.

I recommend he pay his staff equally if he is all for it in his ads and speeches.

If I am wrong somewhere or if there are stats I don’t know about, I welcome civil conversation as I want to learn and know something I don’t know or have not been covered on either side.
